Overview
Yawash Sar Peak (6,017 m) is one of the accessible trekking peaks of Shimshal Valley, offering a less technical but highly rewarding climb in the Karakoram. It is often overshadowed by nearby giants like Destaghil Sar (7,885 m) and Minglik Sar (6,050 m), but for many climbers, Yawash Sar is the perfect first Himalayan 6000er.
The approach through Shimshal Valley passes glaciers, high pastures, and alpine plateaus, with opportunities to experience Shimshali hospitality and culture. From its summit, climbers enjoy expansive views of the Yazghil Glacier, Pamir Plateau, Minglik Sar, Distaghil Sar, and even towards the Wakhan Corridor.
With Johnson Expedition, climbers are supported with professional guides, porters, and Base Camp logistics, ensuring a safe and memorable ascent of this lesser-known gem.
