Overview
The Rupal Face Trek takes you to one of the most spectacular mountain walls on Earth — the southern face of Nanga Parbat (8,126m). While the Fairy Meadows route approaches from the north, the Rupal side reveals the massive vertical wall that has challenged climbers for generations.
Your journey begins in Islamabad and follows the Karakoram Highway to Chilas. From the lush Astore Valley, the trek continues through traditional villages, fertile fields, and alpine meadows until you enter the wild and dramatic Rupal Gorge.
The final sections lead to Rupal Base Camp, an open amphitheater surrounded by towering Himalayan giants, feeding massive glaciers and offering surreal sunrise and sunset views.
