Overview

Baltoro Kangri (7,312 m) rises at the head of the Baltoro Glacier, one of the world’s longest outside the polar regions. Known as the “Golden Throne”, it glows magnificently at sunrise and sunset, guarding Concordia — the meeting point of the Karakoram giants.

First climbed in 1963 by a Japanese expedition, Baltoro Kangri is less attempted compared to its neighbors, but it offers a challenging and rewarding climb. The route involves glacier crossings, steep snow and ice slopes, and high camp logistics, making it suitable for experienced mountaineers aiming for a prestigious 7000er.

From the summit, climbers enjoy unparalleled views of K2, Broad Peak, Gasherbrum I & II, Chogolisa, and countless Karakoram peaks — a panorama unmatched anywhere on Earth.

With Johnson Expedition, climbers trek along the legendary Baltoro Glacier through Concordia to Base Camp, supported by expert guides, porters, and full-service logistics.
