Overview
Bondit Peak (6,500 m) is one of the proud summits of the Shimshal Valley, known as the “valley of mountaineers.” Surrounded by glaciers and rugged alpine landscapes, Bondit Peak offers a true Himalayan expedition experience without the extended length of an 8000er climb.
The ascent involves glacier travel, steep snow and ice climbing, and high camp setups on the shoulder of the peak. From the summit, climbers are rewarded with panoramic views of Minglik Sar, Yazghil Glacier, Distaghil Sar, and even the far Pamir ranges.
With Johnson Expedition, climbers begin their journey from Islamabad to Hunza and Shimshal Valley, trekking through high alpine terrain to reach Base Camp. After acclimatization and establishing a High Camp, the summit push delivers one of the most rewarding 6000m+ experiences in Pakistan.
