Overview
K6 (7,400 m), also called Baltistan Peak, is one of the most striking mountains in the Karakoram. Rising above Charakusa Glacier in the Hushe Valley, its steep pyramid shape dominates a landscape of granite spires and icy ridges.
First climbed in 1970 by an Austrian expedition, K6 remains a rarely attempted mountain, offering routes that are both expedition-style and highly technical alpine challenges. For modern climbers, it has become a prestigious peak due to its beauty, difficulty, and remote setting.
From its summit, climbers enjoy breathtaking views of K2, Broad Peak, Masherbrum, K7, and the granite towers of Charakusa Valley.
With Johnson Expedition, climbers trek through Hushe Valley, set up a fully serviced Base Camp at Charakusa Glacier, and attempt the summit with professional guides and logistical support.
