Overview

The Nangma Valley Trek is a short but spectacular trek in Baltistan, famous for its granite spires, lush meadows, and dramatic alpine landscapes. Often compared to Yosemite Valley in the USA, Nangma has become a hotspot for trekkers, rock climbers, and nature lovers.

The trek begins from Kanday Village, just a short drive from Skardu. Within a couple of days, trekkers reach Base Camp (~4,000 m) surrounded by towering peaks like K7 (6,934 m), Great Tower, Amin Brakk, and Laila Peak (6,096 m).

It’s the perfect short trek for those who want to experience the grandeur of the Karakoram without committing to longer expeditions like Baltoro or Snow Lake. It’s also a photographer’s dream, with lush alpine meadows, wildflowers, and dramatic granite towers.
