Overview

Pastore Peak (6,328 m) sits strategically close to Broad Peak Base Camp, making it an ideal training climb for 8000m expeditions as well as a rewarding standalone alpine climb.

The ascent combines trekking on the Baltoro Glacier with a technical snow/ice climb above Base Camp. Its slopes are less committing than 7000m giants, but they still offer the perfect challenge for trekkers and climbers aiming to test themselves in high-altitude alpine conditions.

From the summit, climbers are rewarded with panoramic views of K2 (8,611 m), Broad Peak (8,051 m), Gasherbrum massif, and the dramatic Trango Towers. For climbers seeking a 6000m+ peak with direct access from the Baltoro trek, Pastore Peak is the perfect choice.

Trip Highlights

  • Trek the legendary Baltoro Glacier toward Concordia
  • Establish Base Camp near Broad Peak & K2’s approach
  • Climb Pastore Peak (6,328 m) with full support
  • Summit views of K2, Broad Peak, Gasherbrums, and Baltoro spires
  • Ideal acclimatization climb for 7000m or 8000m expeditions
