Overview

The Rakaposhi Base Camp Trek is one of the most accessible and rewarding treks in Pakistan, leading to the foot of Rakaposhi (7,788 m) — the “Jewel of Hunza.”

The trek starts from Minapin Village (Hunza), passing through fields, fruit orchards, and alpine meadows before reaching Hapakun Camp (2,800 m) and then Rakaposhi Base Camp (~3,500 m).

From Base Camp, trekkers enjoy breathtaking views of Rakaposhi’s towering ice wall, along with Diran Peak (7,266 m) and surrounding glaciers. The trek is short but steep, making it both achievable and adventurous — perfect for those seeking a high-altitude experience in under a week.
