Overview
The Shimshal Pass Trek is one of the most remote, culturally rich, and naturally beautiful adventures in the Karakoram. Known as the “Valley of Mountaineers,” Shimshal has produced some of Pakistan’s greatest climbers — including Samina Baig, the first Pakistani woman to summit Everest.
The trail takes you through deep gorges, suspension bridges, river crossings, glacier views, vast high-altitude pastures, and the legendary Shimshal Pamir, where Wakhi shepherds still live in traditional stone huts during summer months.
Trekkers experience a rare blend of, Pure wilderness
, Authentic Wakhi culture, Snow-capped giants like Minglik Sar, Yazghail Sar & White Horn
Blue lakes surrounded by lush alpine meadows
This trek is not just a journey — it is a connection to one of Pakistan’s most untouched mountain cultures.
