Overview
Spantik Peak (7,027 m), also called the Golden Peak, is one of the most climbed 7000ers in the Karakoram. Its stunning pyramid shape rises above the Nagar Valley and the Chogholungma Glacier, glowing golden at sunrise and sunset.
First climbed in 1955 by a German expedition, Spantik has since become a popular objective for international climbers because of its non-technical standard route compared to other Karakoram giants. The mountain is often chosen as a training peak for Everest, K2, and Gasherbrum climbs due to its altitude, length of expedition, and glacier conditions.
From the summit, climbers enjoy panoramic views of Rakaposhi, Diran Peak, Haramosh, Ultar Sar, and endless Karakoram ranges.
With Johnson Expedition, climbers trek through lush villages, glaciers, and alpine pastures, then establish Base Camp at Chogholungma Glacier, supported with professional guides, porters, and full-service logistics.
